Reviewer assessment

Typical duration: 1 to 2 hours

We will provide you with three to five set texts to review from your chosen genres. We'll ask for an overall (holistic) impression as well as an assessment of core features of the writing and its appeal. We may or may not sneak in one or more AI generated texts.

Once you have submitted all of your reviews they will be assessed on fairness and quality. Naturally we will take taste into account. There will be one of three possible outcomes

  1. Deep reviewer: Your reviews were of a high standard and we have confidence that your reviewing will be fair and perceptive.
  2. Sift reviewer: Your reviews were of decent standard and you'll do a good job sifting good blurbs from bad.
  3. Non reviewer: We will not ask you to review work.

A deep reviewer may be asked to perform sift reviews, but sift reviewers will not be asked to perform deep reviews.
